Biography

Attorney Verina Meawad is licensed to practice law in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey and brings extensive courtroom experience representing clients in a wide range of criminal matters, including felony and misdemeanor offenses, DUI cases, traffic violations, and jury trials.

Attorney Meawad’s commitment to the legal profession began long before law school. Since her undergraduate years, she has worked alongside judges, attorneys, and law firms in various legal capacities, gaining firsthand experience in the courtroom and developing a deep understanding of the justice system. During law school, she obtained a student practice license, allowing her to represent and defend clients under attorney supervision, providing her with early courtroom advocacy experience while completing her legal education.

Attorney Meawad earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law. While in law school, she served as Vice President of the Criminal Law Society and actively participated in the Ohio Governor’s Expedited Pardon Project and the Immigration Law Student Association. Following graduation, she began her legal career clerking for a Superior Court Judge in New Jersey, where she gained valuable insight into judicial decision making and courtroom procedure.

Prior to law school, Attorney Meawad graduated cum laude from Rutgers University–New Brunswick with degrees in Psychology and Criminology. During her undergraduate studies, she worked with juvenile offenders at an all-boys juvenile correctional facility. This was an experience that provided her with a unique perspective on the criminal justice system and reinforced her passion for advocacy and rehabilitation.

In addition to her private criminal defense practice at Cramer, Swetz, McManus, Jordan & Saylor, P.C., Attorney Meawad has served with the Monroe County Public Defender’s Office since 2024 and maintains a part-time position in their office. This ongoing role allows her to handle a broad range of serious criminal matters and continue serving indigent members of the community in need of legal representation. Her public defense work further strengthens the practical courtroom experience she brings to every private client she represents.

Fluent in Arabic and deeply committed to client-centered representation, Attorney Meawad understands that facing criminal charges or even a traffic citation can be stressful, intimidating, and overwhelming. She is dedicated to guiding clients through every stage of the legal process with clear communication, practical advice, and zealous advocacy. Attorney Meawad believes every client deserves to be heard, respected, and defended. She works diligently to protect her clients’ rights and pursue the best possible outcome.
